International Medicine Studies (IMS) is a small business with over 12 years of experience in higher education consulting. It´s base is located in Slovakia (Bratislava). IMS offers support for candidates applying to international study programs in Central Europe mainly in fields of medicine, veterinary medicine and pharmacy. IMS works closely with its clients through the whole process of recruitment and studies. It aims for the best clients´ experience and satisfaction.

Place of work: Warsaw (home-office and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of SGGW)
Remuneration: based on professional experience

Description of the position:

We are looking for a new employee who would support international veterinary medicine students at SGGW. There are approximately 60 new students arriving to Warsaw each September who need help settling in and approximately 200 other students who need occasional assistance. The responsibilities will include support with every day non-academic issues, preparation of city tours, accompanying students to institutions such as banks, medical centers, help with preparation of marketing material for the program, etc. Most of all the person should understand the foreign policy rules, paperwork necessary for temporary residence permit and other legal documents. The person will be in charge of regular fun activities for students and applicants. Since the work will be with international students, excellent command of English is a must. The job is a part time position, with a demand for extra hours during high season (September / October). Another part-time position might be offered to the candidate at the office for international students (replacement during maternity leave for 1 year). The new employee will be in regular contact with our manager in Bratislava.

His / her main duties shall be:

  • Acting as a contact point / helpdesk for students at SGGW;
  • Offering support to new students arriving in September – medical checks, insurances, opening bank accounts, city tours, etc.;
  • Handling all the necessary paperwork with the Foreign Police, especially for students coming from outside of the EU;
  • Organizing fun activities for students;
  • Marketing and use of social media;
  • Preparation of presentations, marketing materials and other texts relevant to company´s activities;
  • Work under the manager in Bratislava.

Profile of an ideal candidate:

  • Self-employed – salary invoices are a must
  • Excellent command of English – written and spoken
  • Good-natured and extrovert personality – patient, diligent, self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in client relations is welcomed
  • Experience living abroad / with multicultural environment is welcomed
