Cyber Security Manager

The Cyber Security Manager will report to the Head of IT Security Operations and manage a team that provides direct support for the EMEA region focused on technical assessments, security technology management and incident validation & response.

Job Purpose:

  • Act as the escalation contact point for all cyber security related matters for the region (Incident response, assessment, consultancy, solution deployment & engineering, risk governance)
  • Support endpoint, application and infrastructure security initiatives.
  • Manage a team of Cyber Security Analysts providing global support for Group IT and the business
  • Perform administration for the local Cyber Security team in Warsaw
  • Primary stakeholder for Cyber Security operations within the region
  • Support security account management for biggest customers within the EMEA region
  • Coordinate work allocation for cyber security incidents and services

Tasks:

  • Provide operations and tactical support for global operations
  • Manage the regional Cyber Security operations team
  • Regional escalation point of contact for all Cyber Security matters
  • Accountability over the implementation and maintenance of the security solutions within the EMEA region
  • Evaluate security operation processes and identify improvement areas
  • Advise the Head of Security Operations on risk levels and security posture.
  • Collect and maintain data needed to meet cyber security reporting.
  • Communicate the value of IT  security throughout all levels of the organisation stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish the enterprise continuity of operations program, strategy, and mission assurance.
  • Ensure that security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required.
  • Lead and align IT security priorities with the security strategy.
  • Lead and oversee information security budget, staffing, and contracting.
  • Oversee the information security training and awareness program.
  • Participate in an information security risk assessment during the Security Assessment and Authorisation process.
  • Recommend resource allocations required to securely operate and maintain an organisation’s cybersecurity requirements.
  • Forecast ongoing service demands and ensure that security assumptions are reviewed as necessary.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish the enterprise continuity of operations program, strategy, and mission assurance.
  • Recognise a possible security violation and take appropriate action to report the incident, as required.
  • Supervise or manage protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered.

Knowledge:

  • Advanced level of English language proficiency (both oral and written).
  • Master’s Degree in IT or Audit related subject
  • Good understanding of data security and access management.
  • Good understanding of security controls frameworks and their implementation.
  • Good understanding of cyber security architecture and risk management frameworks.
  • At least 5 years team management experience for teams of 3 or more people.
  • Experience managing global operations
  • Cyber Security certification will be an advantage. This includes, but is not limited to CISA, CISM and CISSP.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses.
  • Knowledge of data backup and recovery.
  • Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery continuity of operations plans.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles used to manage risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability information dissemination sources (e.g., alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins).
  • Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies.
  • Knowledge of resource management principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging threats/threat vectors.
  • Knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data security standards.
  • Knowledge of Application Security Risks (e.g. Open Web Application Security Project Top 10 list)
  • Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
  • Knowledge of information security program management and project management principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of controls related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of data.
