HSBC Data & Analytics Office (DAO) promotes a data-driven culture across HSBC through our strategy of:

The role primarily supports the Protect and Unlock pillars of the Strategy.
The principal accountability of the role holder is to contribute to running the DAO Delivery Portfolio Management Office, maintaining and managing to Delivery Operating Model in scope enabling effective portfolio governance.
Your responsibilities
PMO roles will hold most or all of these responsibilities:
Running the day to day of portfolio governance and delivery reporting to DAO ExCo e.g. outcome delivery status reporting, RAID management, escalations to senior management / governance bodies, change control. Ensuring quality of output and adherence to timeliness.
Running multiple engagement and control forums within the portfolio e.g. with Programme Managers, targeted review sessions.
Portfolio wide PM/PMO communications and run of the PMO Community forum.
Portfolio governance capability uplift through the continuous improvement framework and training sessions.
Jira / Confluence structure maintenance and grooming, delivery dashboards and reporting.
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the Delivery Portfolio.
Verbal and written communication related to Delivery Portfolio governance.
Coordination of the regular project and programme level reporting.
Co-ordination of project governance arrangements.
Manage the collection, collation, and processing of project information from stakeholders.
Assist with the implementation of project standards across projects.
Managing and updating portfolio documentation, process documents and information sources.
Key leadership and teamwork responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supports project delivery for complex assignments with advisory responsibilities
Supports team engagement initiatives, fostering an environment which encourages learning and collaboration to build a sense of community
Develops a network of professional relationships across DAO and our stakeholders to improve collaborative working and encourage openness - sharing ideas, information and collateral
Encourages individuals to network and collaborate with colleagues beyond their own business areas and/or the Group to shape change and benefit the business and its customers
Our requirements
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years' experience
Solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practice techniques
Experience with executive committees’ governance (presentations, decision driven/outcome based reporting)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience in delivering key project management office services: Planning and Plan Management, Tracking and Reporting, Risk and Issues Management, Project/Programme Governance
Experience in implementing portfolio, programme and project reporting standards and techniques
Excellent technical expertise in Microsoft Office – Excel (pivot table expertise, vlookups, formulas), PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
Excellent skills with Jira including custom setups
Experience with other project and portfolio management tools i.e. Clarity, MS Project, Open Workbench
Experience with collaboration platforms i.e. Confluence, MS Sharepoint
Ability to organize and structure – portfolios, programs, projects, processes, and communications
Ability to establish and leverage cross functional relationships to help drive project governance, execution and closure
Ability to work in a virtual team environment across geographic boundaries and cultures
Superior analytical skills including the ability to synthesize results and connect key points across topics
Self-starter/Independent thinker – ability to work independently, progress work, and bring it to the collaborative table
Experience as lead role in matrix organization would be an advantage
