About the project
This position collects and stores data on sales numbers, order to cash transactions, company receivables and a host of other concepts across all business units at Pitney Bowes. The candidate will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design, and present it in ways to help internal stakeholders across various businesses and organizations make better decisions.
Your responsibilities
Develop and implement data management activities for internal stakeholders. These activities include data normalization, cleansing and mapping of data into a normalized structure that can be consumed by other processes
Coordinate with internal clients to understand data needs conceptually, then translate those needs into the appropriate data model and/or visualization
Explain data and corresponding analysis to non-technical team members, understanding and translating operational challenges to deliver data driven solutions. Can build and present data in a consumable manner (charts, data tables, dashboards, etc.) that answer business questions
Leverage internal data, external data and available technologies (visualization tools, AI, ML) to develop and implement forecasting models
Be comfortable learning new technologies and techniques for managing, manipulating, optimizing and analyzing data
Our requirements
Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related quantitative discipline
Experience with statistical modelling and analytical techniques & working with Python & SQL
Experience and understanding of statistical techniques (regression, clustering, time series analysis, etc.)
Experience with data, including querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization
High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
Optional
Experience administering Linux servers
Experience using Snowflake, SAP and HANA
Experience with Microsoft Power BI
