Build data models to enable key business decisions
Work within the Advanced Insights Accelerator (AIA) team and business stakeholders to collect requirements, define models, kickstart new analytics initiatives
Explain and communicate data concepts to non-technical colleagues
Build data models with Python and SQL
Apply the correct data models to the business problem at hand, understand when to apply business intelligence models and when to apply AI/ML ones
Work with the AIA team to continue to grow the datasets in the Velux data lake
Leverage creative solutions, analytics and visualization/ reporting techniques to enhance knowledge and drive actionable insights that deliver ROI
Travel approximately 10-20 days annually – both nationally and internationally
2-3 years of experience withing data science/ data analysis
Programming in Python or R. SQL is a must have
Data analysis tools in either Python or R such as: NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn
Power BI or other dashboarding software
Knowledge and some experience with statistical models and machine learning technics for predictive and prescriptive analytics
Self-driven and can-do attitude combined with great communication skills (within the team and with stakeholders)
Ability to analyze business requirements in dialogue with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Good presentation skills
Fluent English (both orally and in writing)
Educational background in a STEM field
Microsoft Azure cloud computing/ Git software versioning/ TensorFlow or PyTorch – nice to have
