Your responsibilities

We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer that will join our Data Enablement Team. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of our internal data platform and running the complex data operations on top of it. You will join 2 other engineers focusing on different aspects of the data platform. You will be responsible for the co-creation, optimization, and orchestration of complex data processes in a variety of business domains. The main tool that you'll use in this position is Data Building Tool (DBT). You will have the opportunity to work with people from different business domains on daily basis.

In this role, you'll have an opportunity to tinker with the most recent advancement in the Big Data cloud-native infrastructure that supports analytical workload.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Ability to creatively solve technology problems

  • Understanding of the different data structures (esp. graphs)

  • Tendency for wholistic/systematic thinking

  • Ability to work in strong iterative fashion

  • Familiarity with BigQuery (or alternatively Snowflake, Redshift) strongly preferred

  • The ability to work comfortably and confidently with the tools of modern software engineering—whether that's working at the command line, using version control, writing tests, or performing code review

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English

Optional

  • Experience with DBT or similar analytics workflow tools

  • Experience in at least one scripting language: Bash, Python or similar

  • Exposure to DevOps/DataOps Capabilities like Continous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Data Virtualization, and Automation pipelines

  • Experience with Airflow or any ETL tool
