Your responsibilities

  • Lead the scoping and defining of the account’s data architecture strategy adhering to Kimball methodologies.

  • Translate business requirements into effective data solutions to facilitate reporting and data analysis needs.

  • Produce conceptual, logical and physical data model designs.

  • Possess strong ETL / ELT knowledge, with the ability to articulate data pipeline build across an array of technologies such as Alteryx and Informatica.

  • Work in partnership with JLL Corporate Solutions colleagues to request enhancements to the corporate JLL Data Warehouse which feeds the accounts source data repository.

  • Using agile methodologies to implement and prototype solutions that are iteratively enhanced into a blueprint for business as usual data architecture processes.

  • Lead the testing and validation of solutions to ensure outputs provide reliable and accurate data models.

  • Required to own the ongoing implementation of the account’s data architecture strategy, facilitating its growth.

  • Managing the pipeline of work; ensuring it is allocated to the most effective resource across the data engineer team.

  • Be a leader and strong mentor to the data engineers to facilitate the delivery of the physical data models.

  • Act as the glue between the business and the data architecture / engineering team.

  • Ensuring iterative design processes are followed, providing regular feedback and engagement to the business.

  • Owning the technical requirements and ensuring consistency in delivery of these.

Our requirements

  • A data modelling expert with industry leading knowledge of data architecture best practice, in-particular Kimball methodologies.

  • Bring global experience and best practice to ensure effective utilization of data by way of building up a conformed analytics data warehouse.

  • Proven examples of having previously developed a data architecture that supports sustainable analysis through data visualisation tools, with preference being given to Tableau experience.

  • Communication - Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written), Strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to explain them to others.

  • Strategic Thinking - Ability to think broadly, create a shared vision, and embrace change as an opportunity.

  • Client Management - Understanding client needs and setting and managing appropriate client expectations within system, project, or contract constraints all while providing exceptional and customer service, creating trust and transparency which enables integration

  • Team-building - Key stakeholder and collaborators are geographically dispersed. Getting results from ad hoc groups of disparate people is critical.

  • Experience with a variety of BI and data tools including SQL Server, Tableau, Alteryx and Microsoft BI / Office 365 products.

  • Hands on experience with industry leading data modelling tools such as Erwin and ER-Studio.

  • Proven team leadership success and ability to manage through influence.

  • Experience of agile delivery methodologies.

  • Exposure to cloud data warehouse concepts, processes and technologies.

  • Experience migrating on-premise data warehouse solutions to the cloud would be of particular interest.
