About the project
We are seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer to join our innovative team in an AI environment. As a freelance Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and managing end-to-end data solutions for AI projects in flexible working hours. Additionally, there is potential for future full-time collaboration opportunities.
*Please note that this position is freelance, and we may require your services on an irregular basis. This means that your workload may vary from month to month, depending on our project demands. Your involvement will primarily focus on MVP and PoC projects.
LOCATION: Gliwice (in a brand new office located at Kaczyniec street 9), hybrid or remote up to 100%
Your responsibilities
Collaborate with AI researchers and data scientists to understand data requirements for AI projects. Design and implement robust data architectures and pipelines to support data collection, storage, and processing needs.
Identify, collect, and integrate diverse data sources, including structured and unstructured data, from both internal and external repositories. Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the data integration process.
Develop data transformation and preprocessing pipelines to clean, normalize, and enrich data for AI model training and analysis. Handle large-scale data efficiently and effectively.
Our requirements
3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data engineering in AI or machine learning projects.
Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, and data transformation using SQL and relevant tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
Demonstrated experience with ETL processes and tools to handle large-scale data.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving AI environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Optional
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Knowledge of various database systems and data warehousing concepts (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Amazon Redshift).
