Your responsibilities
Acquiring datasets that align with business needs
ETL design and build processes to transform data into useful, actionable information
Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures using AWS and Snowflake technologies
Participation in the creation of the new data validation methods and processes and data analysis tools
Participation in the preparation of documentation
Assurance of compliance with data governance and security policies
Possibility to visualise data in Power BI
Collaboration with stakeholders including the Executive, Business and other BI team members to understand company objectives
Our requirements
Proven track of experience working within database management as well as having savvy software engineering skills; role will require advanced understanding of SQL and relational databases, ETL techniques, as well as object -oriented scripting languages (e.g Python)
Experience with AWS and any other storage and computing cloud services: S3, AWS
Experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
Exposure to APIs integration, as well as a solid understanding of various databases, data wrangling, and data processing techniques.
Experience in performing root cause analysis on data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
Understanding of building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.

Purpose of the role...
The purpose of the data engineer role within the Business Intelligence team is to develop, maintain and optimize data infrastructure for data collection, storage, management, transformation, and access, to support business requirements and the overall organizational data strategy, including standards, principles, data sources, storage, pipelines, data flow, and data security policies.
The role is created as a part of the IAG GBS digital transformation to leverage the implementation of the AWS and Snowflake data cloud platform solutions.
