About the project

As a Data Governance Expert you will be responsible for understanding business objectives for master data domain. You will be working with various groups across Wavin and all levels, to manage and promote data governance activities and reporting directly to Senior Manager Global Master Data.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead, drive & define global master data SOP & policies and it’s documentation

  • Lead & drive Global deployment of SAP MDG/S4 HANA including performing fit-gap analysis across Wavin.

  • Lead & support Global Data Governance Analysts and Regional MDM Domain Experts team on identification of critical data, assessing data quality controls and capturing the results.

  • Lead the train the trainer approach activities across Wavin with the support of Regional MDM Domain Experts.

  • Adhere to the “rules of engagement” of Global master data organization.

  • Identifies and manages critical data issues & mitigating the business risks.

  • Define global process to control, manage data quality & monitor Master Data quality KPIs are followed up and flags any impact on business processes.

  • Support & identify the Continuous Improvement of MDM and business processes and initiating actions to improve quality, efficiency or compliance.

  • Serves as the Global MDM point of contact of their assigned master data object eg Business Partners; Materials, Commercial Product master data..

  • Acts as a liaison between local/regional business, the Master Data organization and IT.

  • Ensures that The Master Data processes for all objects are understood and adhered to, mitigating any compliancy risks.

  • Guide & support Regional MDM Domain Experts in data preparations, collection and validation for mass creation and complex changes.

  • Define, collaborate and establish standardized MDM measures and processes with local, regional & central team.

  • Backup support for other Global Data Governance Analyst.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Master Data Management (MDM)

  • 3 years+ of relevant MDM experience including implementation of MDM process improvement and root cause analysis

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC or S4 HANA; and SAP MDG systems is a plus

  • Knowledge or understanding Information Steward or BI reporting is a plus

  • Strong understanding of master data specifically on Business Partners (Customer master data and/or Vendor master data); and Material master data

  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (word, excel and ppt)

  • Understand the impacts & consequence of master data decisions on business processes

  • Understands the business requirement and it’s benefit across organization

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP suite) and databases and reporting/analysis packages

  • Structure and effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Project & planning management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (mandatory); Spanish, Portuguese or other European language(s) is a plus

  • Able to lead and guide analysis and discussion of issues to resolve conflict

  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt and thrive with change and complexity

  • Ability to develop a trusted liaison to, and relationships with internal/global business stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop and exercise influencing skills to internal/global business stakeholders

  • Strong attention to details

  • Effective & strong communicator
