This role is responsible for helping the Procurement & Corporate Services functions make better decisions and drive mission critical business outcomes through unlocking business insights from data; this is typically through building visualisations, insights, self-service analytics and building high quality reusable data assets.

We take a customer centric approach, empathizing with our customers to understand their visions and strategy’s and then using this deep understanding to build data-driven insights that drive decisions which lead to meaningful change.

Our team provides analytics that help answer interesting and challenging mission critical questions:

- What are new normal working patterns and the future of work post the pandemic? How much space do we need, how should we design our workspaces to offer a great colleague experience?

- How do we drive efficiency in our supply chain? How do we partner with our suppliers to drive towards net-zero? How do we more effectively manage supply chain risk and horizon scan?

This role requires specialist skills in data collection and cleansing, structured and unstructured data analysis, data modelling and analysis plus data visualization (expert skills in Qliksense).

Your responsibilities

Engaging our stakeholders to help capture & refine requirements, ideate, design & deliver Analytics & BI use cases, followed by transitioning to BAU & delivering ongoing product enhancements
Performing strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources, validating information, using judgment and statistical tests
Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardising data in order to generate actionable insights and address reporting needs
Designing and deploying cutting edge Qliksense dashboards that really wow our customers in terms of visual appeal, ease of use and understanding
Providing complex business intelligence solutions involving SQL, Python, Alteryx, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies e.g. Big Query
Identifying innovative and creative opportunities to develop data insights and maximize data usage to develop new strategies and improve business performance
Ensuring all dashboards and data assets are thoroughly tested and validated per industry best practice before being released
Upskilling on an ongoing basis to also venture into Advanced Analytics and be familiar with data science languages like Python and R
Building out strong, trusted relationships with our +1 stakeholders
Identifying and managing delivery risk in the area of responsibility including resolve blockers and bottlenecks

Our requirements

Business
A university degree in Computer Science, Data Analysis or similar education and work experience
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience delivering data / analytics solutions using Agile with clearly demonstrable business outcomes
Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs and solve problems
Deep knowledge of the data and analytics delivery life cycle including demonstrable knowledge, experience & credibility across advanced analytics / Data Science
Ability to assess stakeholder needs to improve customer experience, show resilience under pressure and provide best in class solutions
Delivery-focused, with ability to meet agreed deadlines and delivery high quality output
Technical
Expertise and experience in data visualization with advanced Qliksense skills
Demonstrable experience of working in a data-related role; data analysis, architecture, data structures & modelling, data governance with hands-on technical experience of using associated technologies
Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing principles
Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Python a plus
Flexibility to work on and learn various technologies
Experience with business tools like JIRA, Confluence
Familiarity with Data Science concepts and subjects and an interest in up-skilling in the future

Ability to work in fast-paced, pressured environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at once
