About the project
Precisely is currently seeking a Modeling Consultant of Strategy and Analytics Services to assist with the statistical modeling development responsibilities focusing on the retail and financial services industries throughout EMEA and APAC. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented global team, contributing to our continued growth.
Develop complex sales forecasting models and various analytical solutions predominantly within the retail, restaurant, and financial services verticals for the EMEA/APAC team (20%).
Identify/discern statistical relationships and interpret those results in a geo-spatial manner (20%).
Assimilate a variety of demographic sources, competitive data sets, lifestyle segmentation systems, and site-specific characteristics into creative client solutions (20%).
Evaluate the reliability of source information and organize results into a form compatible to conducting analysis (20%).
Assist in the production of reports and presentations for ad-hoc requests and client consulting projects & effectively communicate and document timelines, methodology, and results with client management and custom programming teams (20%).
Other duties may be assigned.
2+ years experience in quantitative research; or equivalent combination of education and business experience capacity.
Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics or other similar research field.
Analyze and work with data sources using various software tools, including SQL, SAS, R, Python, MS Officetools (Excel, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task in deadline-oriented project work.
Proven capability to work in a self-directed work environment in an organized and disciplined manner.
Have a flexible, thought leadership, analytical approach model development in line with customer needs.
Experience of geospatial analytics. For instance using a GIS (Mapinfo, Qgis, …) and/or spatial databases (Postgis, SQL Server spatial).
Experience with site selection methods.
Consumer Behavior analytics background.
Familiarity with EMEA/APAC census demographics.
Proficiency with coding in SQL Server, and at least one of the following: Python, R, SAS.
