About the project
We are looking for a DBA to help with our expanding database environment. This role is key to help maintain the high reliability and performance of our applications.
Workplace: Opole (remote work option may be considered).
Your responsibilities
- Maintenance and Administration for Openedge and Mysql databases
- Perform regular database schema changes with no downtime
- Solve performance issues and suggest optimizations
- Performance monitoring and tuning of database queries
- Build and maintain Test & Pre-prod solutions
- Automate recurring DBA tasks
- Monitor database environment to maintain high availability and proactively resolve issues
- Work with and educate our Architectural and Development teams to make good schema design choices and write efficient queries
- Manage database security/integrity and back-u procedures
- Liaise with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff
Our requirements
- 5+ years of proven ability with Opendedge and MySQL architecture, replication, monitoring, troubleshooting and backups
- Experience managing SQL Server in a Windows Failover Cluster environment
- Experience in backup & restore, database refresh, performance & tuning
- Expert knowledge with SQL and stored routines
- Experience working with Openedge & MySql
- Ability to meet results and drive your work to completion within specified timelines
- Good communication skills
- Good command of English
- Collaborative, upbeat work ethic where you are expected to take ownership, and demonstrate positive team participation
