Your responsibilities

  • Implement data solutions that address client use cases and business requirement

  • Promote new tools and technologies and help the businesses improve the technology stack and reduce integration complexity

  • Build and evaluate data models and communicate the results to our customers

  • Data mining, identifying trends, patterns and consistencies to help shape our future direction and make data-driven decisions

  • Driving data quality by identifying anomalies and erroneous entries within data sets

  • Adhering to data policy and regulations and ensuring all campaigns are compliant

  • Close cooperation with analysts and BI developers

Our requirements

  • Essential:

  • Excellent project management skills to ensure the successful delivery of key projects

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and actively prioritise workloads

  • Understanding of Data Warehouse architecture design principles

  • Skills in SQL, scripting, building robust data pipelines, dimensional modelling

  • An active interest in the world of data engineering

  • Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams

  • A clear, logical, analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving

  • Good command in English

  • Desirable:

  • Minimum relevant degree subject, e.g. Maths, Computer Science, Engineering etc

  • Knowledge of visualisation development methods and tools, such as Power BI

  • Technology stack:

  • Programming languages (C#)

  • Frameworks (WPF, ASP.NET Core, Blazor)

  • Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced database engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for design and maintain a database that provides informative and relevant data to other employees within the organisation. Together with your future colleagues, you will keep a company's databases available, secure, and stable. Database engineer's an important role that would also be to integrate new products and software packages into the system and to see that the data produced is accurate and meets the need of the business.
