About the project

The main purpose of the DCLAN Network/Solution Engineering is to deploy and to perform complex scenarios powered by Networking team. In addition, DCLAN Technical Engineer will be expected to provide guidance and proper technical support to operations teams to ensure high quality of service delivery.

Your responsibilities

  • 2nd/3rd Level technical support for LAN/WAN/DCLAN infrastructure, for DCLAN customers

  • Incident and problem management for the LAN/WAN/DCLAN related services and equipment.

  • Change management for the network infrastructures: scheduling, preparation, and implementation of various network related changes (over CIP Change Implementation Plan)

  • Participating in CAB - Change Approval Board.

  • Scheduling, designing and technical implementation of partial or complex network structures.

  • Configuring the VRF, Routing, VLAN, Port, Port Channels, High Availability, ACL, AAA etc.

  • Software updates (including bios update)

  • Preparing the documentation: HLD, LLD (Visio or another designer tool)

  • IPAM (ip address management) also with dedicated databases update

Our requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field.

  • Good knowledge and configuration experience of Cisco and Juniper network products (i.e. routers, switches,)

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco, LAN, WAN, DCLAN related technologies (minimum CCNP certified or knowledge on that level);

  • Experience in network projects.

  • Experience in Cisco Nexus Technologies - Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, FEX switches

  • English at minimum B2 level. German A2/B1 as additional language will be a real asset.

  • Experience in DCLAN network will be a plus.

  • Knowledge of the DCLAN infrastructure (rack, cabling, patchpannels, sfp modules) will be a plus

  • Availability for doing periodical on-call duties.
