Job Description

Purpose:

As a Delivery Scheduler you would create schedules for truck deliveries in order to ensure timely and economical product delivery to Retail sites and B2B customers through the Order to delivery process.
You would also need to liaise with Supply & Distribution staff, Retail Territory Managers, hauliers, customers, Customer Service and Order to Delivery teams to perform amendments to the schedule during its execution, manage customer enquiries, communicate delivery failures and process urgent orders.
 

Your main responsibilities would be:

  • Create and optimize an accurate, cost effective and timely delivery plan based on data / customer orders to ensure that the right product and volume is delivered from the right source to the right destination at the right time by the right truck
  • Ensure scheduled deliveries are in line with HSSE and operational procedures and customers´ SLAs
  • Work with analysts (where relevant) and other schedulers to balance order demand against truck supply
  • Ensure the truck diary is correctly set up in scheduling system
  • Ensure Supply and product availability issues are reflected in scheduling system set-up
  • Allocate orders to trucks
  • Primary contact point for the hauliers to advise truck drivers of necessary amendments to plan
  • Manage deviation from plan
  • Handle customer enquiries to change/amend orders, evaluate the real need and feasibility for scheduling changes, and liaise with scheduling team where appropriate
  • Communicate to customers on service delivery failures
  • Ensure any Special Instructions noted on the orders have been processed
  • Receive urgent order requests and create urgent orders within framework of delivery promise

Requirements


If you have:

  • Logistic/distribution experience/background
  • IT affinity
  • Ability to priority setting in a hectic operational environment
  • Ability to handle unplanned issues arising from delivery/system constraints
  • Resistance to stress, ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Ability to close teamwork within the scope
  • Hungarian language nice to have
