About the project

A successful candidate will be a part of the team working with global Wealth Management business. The Krakow’s Wealth IT team consists of around 80 colleagues working cross functional and taking care of the applications helping thousands of people in different countries across the world to invest their money in various assets.

Depending on the business needs, the new joiner would be assigned to work in one of the PODs for UK, Jersey, UAE or other EMEA market.

Your responsibilities

  • Deal with day to day people matters (i.e. approve holidays, discuss their performance and career development plans)

  • Plan projects and resources to achieve optimal results within IT budget

  • Proactively identify and manage the risks, with proposed plan of remediation

  • Ability to plan the IT project end to end, including external dependencies, teams and execute it in the Agile methodology against scope, time and

  • Manage stakeholders and vendors

  • Engage and work with other IT team on delivery of projects

  • Ensure that system is stable and production issues are closed in timely manner

  • Set standards, optimize and drive process improvements

  • Steer team to design technical architecture solutions in-line with regional/global architecture principles and project needs

  • Drive governance processes (like IT service acceptance, cyber security testing, performance testing, architecture board approval etc)

  • Discuss and agree ways of working with project stakeholders

  • Make sure that technical standards are met (i.e. using code scanners and fixing issues)

  • Prepare and agree testing strategy with project stakeholders

  • Make sure that budget for systems maintenance is properly planned

  • Ensuring that all Technology Practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the Project

  • Manage, monitor and report progress, issues, dependencies, risks to Programme Manager and/or steering committees and make recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation

  • Ensure that good tracibility between high level requirements, epics, stories and tests is done

  • Build and retain diverse talent ensuring an inclusive environment growing beyond unconscious biases

  • Ensure high quality for the delivered technical solutions

  • Promote and strengthen modern techniques of managing software development

  • Grow and nurture multi-skill, cross functional teams

Our requirements

  • Several years of professional experience leading an IT team with excellent coaching skills of IT employees in an international environment

  • Proven track record of successfully managed and delivered complex IT projects with technical background (Java, linux, MQ, AWS or other cloud providers, docker, kubernetes, batch setup, monitoring & alerting setup)

  • Ability to identify business risks and compliance issues and design proactive solutions

  • Experience in Agile / Safe Agile frameworks

  • Experience with project governance process

  • Experience with system maintenance in production
