Description

The Derivatives Regulatory Reporting Control and Management Information team are responsible for monitoring the status of OTC Derivatives, Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) and Client Cleared Trades reported to US and European Regulators. This is performed through the completion of daily position reconciliation process and trade rejection monitoring. The Team perform analysis of reconciliation results and investigation of issues highlighted in regards to breaks or timeliness. The reporting status and progress is communicated to Management through the use of KPIs and KRIs, as well as metrics prepared based off Analyses, presented in various senior management meetings. The team is also responsible for managing the Client Query mailbox, investigating and responding to queries.

 

The team consists of 5 sub-teams, whose responsibilities can be summarized as follows:

  • Monitor daily levels of data quality across assigned asset classes and ensure correct trade reporting to trade repositories, then categorize identified breaks and investigate to specify a root cause (Control Team)
  • Investigate any failed reported trade, then take appropriate action for resolution by liaising with IT and Ops to fix the root cause ( Exception Management Team)
  • Log, manage and respond to Client Queries for assigned asset classes using JIRA tool and various in-house systems and applications (Client Queries Team)
  • Provide regular MI on reporting accuracy and timeliness, to be used by Performance and Business Risk review committees (Metrics Team)
  • Maintain Reference Data within the firms systems, manage the provision of MI, escalation of issues internally to business partners (Financial Transaction Tax Team)

The chosen individual you would get a rare opportunity to have an insight to derivative regulatory reporting targets and focus areas, would develop a deep understanding of how different team processes contribute to these, as the role requires interaction with all sub teams in Poland as well as with colleagues in London and New York. This role also encourages an out-of-the-box attitude as the scope of the team responsibilities is constantly growing. The essential requirement is to support the team in growing knowledge base by maintaining process procedures and pursuing on the job training opportunities and cross trainings.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • If you have Banking/Financial experience, that would be a plus
  • You feel comfortable with your organizational and analytical skills
  • If you worked previously in Client service, that would be an asset
  • Your degree in finance/banking would be appreciated
  • You are proficient Excel user, knowledge of VBA is desirable
  • You have excellent organizational skills
  • You have a positive personality and you can be a standout colleague taking initiative in developing a network of contacts across various departments and offices
  • You are able to perform to high level of accuracy and have good attention to detail
  • You can identify issues, propose and implement solutions as well as opportunities for improvements
