    This role is within the Quant Strats Technologies - Core team, which is responsible for building, testing and releasing financial quantitative models implemented as sophisticated software libraries, for use within Credit Suisse globally. The goal of our team is to build a partnership with the Modelers to ensure that models are delivered to the firm in the most efficient manner. The Core team focuses on mapping out the technology strategy for the group, developing advanced tools to automate and bring efficiency to the group’s development & testing environment, building core analytics for high performance computing applications.

    This is a Dev Ops/Developer role, involving a mixture of the following:

    • Software engineering, release and deployment process design, implementation & execution.
    • Managing the production release process and 2nd level support.
    • Software development using PowerShell, C# and also other languages.

    This role is focused on a recent addition to our financial libraries and so it involves building out new tools, frameworks and processes. We will also look to leverage our existing technology and infrastructure where advantageous to do so. This is a chance to be involved early in this initiative, putting in place the technical foundations that will underpin this type of delivery for the foreseeable future.

    This demanding role involves working with exceptional world-class individuals in a dynamic global environment. It involves regular and frequent interaction across the wider modeling group, in addition to working with multiple IT groups across the bank. It necessitates superb communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of financial modeling is not required for this role.

    Key requirements for the role are:

    • An understanding of commercial software development, test and deployment processes.
    • Ability to develop, test & debug scripting and software in building out our development environment.
    • Good knowledge of software engineering tools, scripting, packaging and deployment technologies.
    • Solid understanding of Continuous Integration best practices and systems (e.g. TeamCity).
    • Experience with distributed and/or centralized Version Control Systems, e.g. Perforce, SVN, git.
    • Fluency in English and have good communication skills.
    • Undergraduate degree with honors in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Physics or have equivalent level commercial experience.
    • Good problem solving, analytical & organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

    The following will be advantageous:

    • Knowledge of MS Windows OS and related technologies, in particular COM, MSI, SxS, MSBuild.
    • Knowledge of other programming languages: C++, F#, Python.
