DevOps Architect

We are currently seeking a DevOps Architect to join our Information Technology Services DevOps team in Warsaw! The perfect candidate would be a highly motivated technology-driven professional with DevOps systems engineering and application development background.

 

The Opportunity:

In this role you will primarily be responsible for maintaining, refining and expanding present DevOps environment, by helping unite software development (Dev) with production and operations (Ops) into a consistent, integrated, and continuous SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) working together. Also, this role will contribute to any future projects towards further automation, expansion and enhancements of the current DevOps technology stack.

This position will report to the DevOps Manager, also based in Warsaw office. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues from the DevOps team, as well as development teams, operations teams and systems maintenance to ensure that steps in the SLDC are optimized and enriched by continuous improvements.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide system engineering and DevOps (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Configuration Management and Release Management) support in terms of provisioning environments, and software builds throughout the applications lifecycle

  • Collaborate with Development, Delivery, Maintain, and Infrastructure teams

  • Help evolving our existing CI/CD stack with new tooling and best practices in the market aligned to architectural patterns and current industry standards

  • Contribute to organizational efforts for evaluating enhancements and new components to the technology stack

  • Helps in designing CI/CD pipelines

 

What do we expect?

  • BS in Computer Science or similar higher technical degree

  • 2+ year of experience in DevOps and/or Software Engineering

  • Fluency with corporate Linux servers’ deployments

  • Demonstrated working experience in various CI/CD components like or equivalent to Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Git, SonarQube, Trivy, shell scripting

  • Demonstrated working experience with docker orchestration like Nomad or equivalent

  • Experience in automated builds, quality gates management, deployments, rollbacks and troubleshooting

  • Demonstrated experience in integrating systems and operations into a code (e.g. infrastructure as a code)

  • Linux and Windows basic services administration management

  • Working knowledge of infrastructure and security services like DNS, AD, LDAP, DHCP, PKI, Proxy, TLS, RBAC components

  • Mutual authentication schemes, OAuth, SAML 2.0

  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies of Azure, GitHub Actions

  • Working experience in meeting security requirements in CI/CD stacks in terms of vetting contents and ensuring integrity of the deployments and confidentiality of the data processed there

 

Not required, but would be a huge asset:

  • Practical experience in working with Kubernetes will be a big plus

  • Practical experience in agile driven software development (like Trunk Based Development, Test Driven Development) will be a big advantage

 

A perfect candidate:

  • An Infrastructure Engineer with an eye towards automation, or a Software Developer with an eye towards Infrastructure

  • Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills in English; able to work well in a team environment spread globally

  • Effectively manage multiple tasks through strong time management and prioritization

  • Systematic and results oriented

  • Able to work independently taking responsibility for actions when needed
