About the project
DevOps Engineer I at Jamf is responsible for automation and development of our backend infrastructure that powers the Jamf Cloud that our customers rely on to manage Apple devices in their organizations.This includes providing the internal infrastructure that our Software Development Engineers use to build and deploy Jamf products in the Cloud.
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with your team to develop custom tools and automation using programming and scripting in a cloud environment.
- Work and communicate effectively with product owners, support teams, and other Cloud and Delivery teams.
- Assist your team in evaluating, planning, configuring, and implementing new software services.
- Contribute to an agile dev environment, providing code reviews, planning input, and participating in other agile methodology workflows.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments by identifying and applying automation tools.
- Work with techniques such as infrastructure as code, configuration as code, serverless programming, and containerization to support and scale CI/CD environment.
- Identify and integrate security best practices into system designs and configuration.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Our requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a current programming language (e.g. Python, Golang) - required.
- 0-2 years of experience as a power user of various operating systems (eg. MacOS, Linux,Shell Scripting) - required.
- 0-2 years of experience in the networking concepts (addressing, routing) - required.
- 4 years / Bachelor's Degree, although a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
- 0-2 years of experience building and maintaining cloud native services with Amazon Web Services - preferred.
- 0-2 years experience with Infrastructure as a Code techniques (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) - preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience using Source Control Management tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) - preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in CI/CD tools and techniques (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Github Actions) - preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in enterprise security and hardening best practices - preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience working with monitoring and logging tools - preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience with containerization concepts - preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience working with structured databases (e.g. MySQL, DynamoDB) - preferred.
