Project Overview
DN recently launched a disruptive new cloud-based software platform for the Fuel & Convenience platform. We plan now to leverage that platform also to create our next generation general retail software platform. This will be a disruptive new software product for the retail space (grocery, specialty retailer, and department stores) based on a cloud-native micro services architecture. We will be creating an API oriented platform that will form the foundation of a new retail ecosystem for our customers with a new approach to the Point of Sale, store solutions, and core backend integration running from the cloud
Your responsibilities
Implementation of new infrastructure
Assistance with deployment automation
Recipes development and maintenance
Infrastructure monitoring — dealing with space and performance
Provisioning
Backup strategy implementation
Maintaining and further developing existing Continuous Integration systems
Promoting DevOps culture and practices in the company
Our requirements
3+ years of DevOps experience
Strong background in Windows\Linux administration
Experience in hardware virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, ESXi)
Experience in Docker and at least one of orchestration tools (Kubernetes preferred)
Knowledge of IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, load balancing and firewalling;
Experience with cloud technologies and services (MS Azure, AWS, GCP)
Ability to work in Agile environment with minimal guidance
Self-educative and open-minded
Will and ability to learn new technology stacks and tools
Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git)
experience in DevOps practices, Release Management, System Administration or Software engineer
Experience in building out internal support systems, production ops and dev environments (using CI/CD and CMM tools like Jenkins, Chef/Puppet/Salt/Ansible/Terraform, monitoring and metrics collection tools like Prometheus/Zabbix/Nagios/Cacti/Graphite, log collection tools like Elasticsearch, Greylog etc.)
Scripting skills, i.e., PowerShell, Bash
Competence with Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, RabbitMQ
Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOAP and REST)
Understanding of SSL/TLS, experience working with PKI
Must have analytical abilities with strong troubleshooting skills
Self-starter with a can-do attitude
Ability to work independently
Result-oriented with attention to details
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
Verbal and written communication skills, English (Intermediate or higher)
Some off-hours availability

Understanding and experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-site systems and hybrid cloud environments
Automated software deployment and configuration management
Knowledge of technology stack and tools for C#, dotNET Core, JavaScript is a plus
Knowledge with web services diagnostic and traffic simulation tools (Selenium, JMeter, SoapUI etc.) is a plus
