You will be working as a DevOps engineer responsible for optimization of the software development life cycles across multiple development streams and projects.
DevOps Engineers are a combination of developer (Dev) and system admin professionals (“Op”-erations) who bridge the gap between developers and the Ops team. They thoroughly understand the software development lifecycle and understand the automation tools used to create the CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) pipeline, which minimizes coding errors and facilitates rapid deployment of higher-quality products. DevOps engineers guide code releases from development to distribution
The engineer will be working closely with the product owners, solution architects, QA and other software engineers to fulfill the requirements. The engineer should:
Participate in a high functioning DevOps Scrum team.
Work in a continuous delivery model; deploying frequently at large scale to a global audience of consumers.
Work co-operatively (rather than competitively) with others to achieve a common goal.
Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
Produce software builds from software source code and deploy updates and fixes.
Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
Develop scripts to automate visualization.
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Be capable of working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (AWS preferred) with high transaction volumes.
Investigate and resolve technical issues.
Education : University degree with focus on IT or equivalent.
Experience : Minimum 3 years in Software Engineering in IT.
Technical Skills (must-have) : Git, Jenkins, Groovy, Shell/Bash scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana, Postman
Technical Skills (nice-to-have) : Java, Automated testing tools, Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, GCP etc.)
Soft Skills : Knowledge of Scrum and agile principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, understanding of different culture.
