For one of our clients, an international company providing technology for the world’s leading MedTech and Pharma companies that improve patients’ health and quality of life, we are looking for DevOps Group Manager (DevOps Tech Lead)

Your responsibilities

  • Working as a DevOps Group Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Working closely with the Director of Engineering and Human Resources to grow the group according to the plan 

  • Working as a Hands-on line manager 

  • People management, including recruitment and selection, goal setting and career reviews, * coaching, and ongoing training and development 

  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of a culture of engagement with the organization’s goals and objectives 

  • Working closely with Project Managers to ensure effective project execution from people management, technical, and customer management perspective 

  • Supporting business development in the designated area 

  • Implementing best practices consistent with DevOps methodology and enterprise IT program management & delivery 

  • Contributing to architecture, tools, standards, and practices for our engineering organization 

  • Designing and developing automated cloud deployment solutions 

Employer requirements

  • Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related 

  • At least 5+ years of experience in people and/or complex project management/execution 

  • Previous experience as DevOps engineer, system administrator, system architect, configuration manager, or release manager 

  • Proven practical experience in CI/CD systems: Jenkins / TeamCity / Bamboo 

  • Experience with container management solutions: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm 

  • Experience with cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS) 

  • Experience with infrastructure as a code approach (Terraform / Terragrunt / Cloudformation) 

  • Additional qualifications: 

  • Experience in project management would be a distinct advantage 

  • Strong business development and customer-facing skills 

  • Experience with container orchestration systems: OpenShift / AKS / EKS / Rancher 

  • Experience with any product or project from Cloud Native Landscape 

  • Experience with relational and non-relational DB management systems such as MySQL / MongoDB 

  • Experience with logging & monitoring solutions such as: ELK / EFK / Grafana / Prometheus / Loki
