You will be part of a team dedicated to our digital customer experience and digital transformation.  This role will be key to drive a culture of data and analytics driven business decision-making. 

As the Data Architect, you will work closely with the product owners, consultants and solution architects from internal / partner organizations to ensure our data driven principle is lived and breathed in every proposition that we deliver and ultimately support our digital data program – driving and supporting a great customer experience through our digital channels. It will be the responsibility of this role to drive the data roadmap and ensure proposed solutions align to the roadmap, principles, and policies engaging and collaborating with Enterprise, Domain and Solution Architects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with business and technical stakeholders to understand and capture business problems and identify data opportunities
  • Contributing to the development of the data strategy and roadmap
  • Communicating solution approaches to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Produce integrated end-to-end solutions that manifest the data roadmap
  • Owning the definition and the maintenance of Data Assets
  • Developing concepts and complete DPI assessments to ensure compliance with data protection legislation (with particular focus on GDPR)
  • Advising and supporting on all aspects of data governance
  • Documenting and presenting architecture, models, diagrams to development teams, architecture review board, and technical leadership
  • Ensure architectural adherence through blueprint and design reviews
  • Assist in the remediation of application stability and performance
  • Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance
  • Perform project level design, debug and performance analysis
  • Educates and influences customers on the most effective use of technology
  • Responsible for the development and production support of enterprise application utilities and models to include publishing, best practices and guidelines for supported technologies
  • Work with vendors and product management areas to establish required infrastructures and frameworks
Must Have Experience / knowledge in:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sees the big picture, and is fully aware of technology and business directions
  • Effectively assesses the long-term and short-term implications of decisions on the department, corporation, and group
  • Experience with relational and non-relational database
  • Experience with cloud integrations for pulling pushing data from SaaS productsFamiliarity with Cloud Technologies
  • Strong experience in data modeling
  • Good understanding of data governance
  • Good understanding of GDPR
  • Experience in utilizing ETL tools, specifically Azure Data Factory and SSIS
  • Experience with database management – Specifically MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of other Data and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau
Additional Experience / knowledge optional:
  • Facilitate AI discussions and solutions and Data Monetization
  • Understanding of compliance with data protection legislation
  • Experience with financial domains
  • Experience with SAP product integrations
  • Experience with SAP S4
  • Experience with SAP Data Life Cycle Management
  • Knowledge of MDM tools

  • Experience with ODATA service
  • Experience with Big Data – specifically Azure Data Lake
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related Field
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in database development, integration and administration required
  • 2 years of experience as a lead technical role required.
