Your responsibilities

  • Managing the timely allocation, monitoring and progress reporting of alerts to be investigated as part of the FCRM global deployment,

  • Identifying and managing key risks and issues that impact progress of the overall delivery and key target dates,

  • Managing the workload through an excel / automated environment to distribute, aggregate and monitor the daily investigations,

  • Providing daily management information and metrics reporting to Optimisation management and various in country business and compliance stakeholders,

  • Attending daily and weekly meetings to assist the investigations team lead during in country meetings to support the setting of accurate thresholds for the different Alert Definitions,

  • Providing intelligent allocation based on the country demand and capacity planning of the Risk UAT Investigations,

  • Supporting the investigations team lead with data analysis and productivity analysis,

  • Reviewing of Quality Assurance outcomes and timely reporting of overturns and re-runs,

  • Answering various content and procedural alert investigation questions during Risk UAT.

  • Developing a holistic view around the global Risk UAT process, ING Transaction Monitoring processes and procedures, regulations and industry leading practices in conducting Transaction Monitoring investigations and the Alert Definitions which are applicable within the ING Group,

  • Learning and helping your colleagues to learn continuously, taking and giving feedback constructively, participating actively in team continuous learning and development initiatives and training.

Our requirements

  • You have detailed knowledge about the end-to-end TM process and AML/CTF area

  • You have advanced skills in MS Excel/ PowerBI

  • You can aggregate and dynamic analyze the data derived from multiple sources

  • You are fluent in English

  • You have at least one year of experience in similar position

  • You can establish plans to determine tasks, priorities, and timelines and identifying the resources needed to achieve goals.

  • You have an ability to identify problems, analysing key information and making connections, in order to find appropriate solutions.

  • You show openness to change and altering behaviours in order to work effectively when faced with new information, a changing situation and/or environment.


  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office,

  • Knowledge of Dutch legal rules & regulations: labor law / employment,

  • Problem solving & decision making,

Information about the squad:

AML Transaction Monitoring Optimisation Investigations (TMOI) team works together with Methods and Strategy, Analytics and Country Engagement to review and implement the global AML transaction monitoring system to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the transaction monitoring tool. AML TMOI Team performs reviews of cases including historical transactions Below the Line (BTL) and Above the Line (ATL) in order to set thresholds. The team investigates a sample of alerts and concentrates on customer behaviours which have not been alerted previously in the BAU operations, due to missing coverage other parameters. The results of the reviews are used to determine if existing rules and parameters in mentioned rule based transaction monitoring system needs to be adjusted and / or to increase / assess the risk coverage.
