Documentation & Release Process Engineer

Electrical and Electronics Systems (EES) is a part of Whirlpool's Global Product Organization (GPO). EES is a cross-category group that contributes to Product Leadership goals by delivering the best machine performance, compelling user experience, and an innovative Digital Ecosystem. A cohesive EES Team of about 500 Engineers, enables cross-functional collaboration and consistency in product delivery. EES group is spread globally and leverages capabilities as well as scale economics. 
 
To support our product launch Plans, EES is hiring talented individuals to join our product development and advanced development teams, globally. These people will be working on Whirlpool's Innovation and global projects.

Function Overview

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the Documentation & Release Process Engineer role to work at our Wroclaw, PL location. The ideal candidate is someone organized, strong minded, process oriented, experienced with eCAD or mCAD tools (such as Creo) and product development databases, such as Windchill. We look for a critical thinker, capable to manage multiple activities simultaneously, enforce policy and support the creation of strategy and put it into implementation. In this role, the engineer will also support new components part creation and classification and maintenance of components library.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and Approve Electrical Engineering Documentation and Data Files before release;
  • Support Development and adherence to release standards and procedures;
  • Process large amounts of technical data with control and accuracy;
  • Be a documentation Management Expert for the Hardware and Software Development Teams;
  • Work with multiple design centers to evaluate, approve and release design documentation, parts, drawings and data;
  • Drive special projects for continuous Improvement activities;
  • Support engineering with build planning;
  • Become an Expert around the Release Process.

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced english - English is a MUST HAVE; 
  • Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering (or similar);
  • Basic Project management;
  • mCAD tools (CREO, PRO/E, and the like);
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently and in global teaming environments

Preferred Requirements

  • Windchill and like product development databases;
  • Mechanical CAD tools (CREO, PRO/E, and the like);Electronic CAD tools (Cadence, and the like);
  • Review and interpret all electronic component datasheets and evaluate its application for various products/ modules solutions;
  • Familiar with OPEX (6Sigma), Project management, Process/continuous improvement;
  • Degree concentrations related to Engineering (Electrical/Electronics preferred);
