    E2E Procurement Value Lead

    The E2E Procurement Value Lead plays a critical role in the development of the value creation pipeline for GSK, not least as the procurement representatives on any cross-functional value creation initiative. This varied and exciting role forms two essential primary activities i) supporting new product initiatives (NPIs) with brilliant launch execution ii) value creation identification and delivery across all Pharma franchises; plus relevant support of any procurement projects impacting the pharma franchise, as required.

    The role will partner with key stakeholders in the Pharma Franchise to deliver the business targets

    • Deliver brilliant launch execution for new product initiatives
    • Value Creation identification and delivery
    • Drive procurement initiatives with a ‘franchise’ or ‘product lens’, for example

    Key Responsibilities:

    Value Creation – E2E Procurement Value Lead

    • Deliver Best in Class Levels of Value Engineering Opportunities and Delivery
      • Identify, support and help drive Portfolio Optimisation, Cost Savings and Value engineering opportunities through leading cost workshops, product tear downs, driving projects across matrix teams etc
      • Collaborate with Pharma Franchise Medicine Supply Chain leads to drive value engineering opportunities, aligned with business needs and strategy.
      • Contribute via supplier sourced innovation, as appropriate
      • Drive First Intent strategy compliance
      • Drive procurement projects through franchise governance at speed through the project pipeline. Champion procurement initiatives

    New Product Initiatives:

    • Deliver Brilliant Launch Execution for New Product Initiatives
      • Source new and novel materials on time for launch; supplier selection where required, contract completion etc.
      • Risks mitigated pre-launch, where possible or appropriate mitigation plan in place
      • Drive first intent compliance and/or develop the product platform sourcing strategy for new products
      • Early involvement in product pipeline to ensure R&D teams actively consider design-to-value / speed to market trade-offs in all new pipeline development.
      • Best in class collaboration with R&D colleagues, Pharma Franchise, NPI leads, R&D Procurement etc.
      • Seamless transitions through all stages of product launch between R&D, this team and post-launch to commodity managers

    Overall: Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

    • Partner to franchise teams
      • To strategically engage with and understand the business requirements of stakeholders and business partners and to position the Procurement value proposition, on local, regional and global levels.
      • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; agree RACIs and business requirements.
      • Ensure commodity team projects and initiatives are supported at franchise level
      • Ensure franchise priorities are communicated to procurement, understood and included in sourcing strategies
      • Influence stakeholders to be credible supporters of procurement, and procurement strategies are ali

    Overall: External supplier relationships:

    • Build strategic relationships with key suppliers for new and novel materials at a senior level and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships.

    Minimum:

    • Master’s Degree Business Administration/Finance/Marketing
    • 3-5 years’ experience in procurement
    • Proven negotiations and contract management skills
    • English proficiency (written and oral)
    • Leadership/communication skills
    • Project management skills
    • Experience working in a complex cross-functional environment, with a preference for working within a regulated industry
