Electrical Analysis and Simulation Engineer

We are looking for Electrical Analysis and Simulation Engineer to provide support for our customers and R&D departments in electrical industry. As a member of Simulation Support Team based in Kraków you will be responsible for conducing simulations of electrical power systems as well as development of new numerical models for various devices, with main focus on renewable power plants such as solar and wind, but not limited to. In this position, you will be providing high quality support to a wide range of external consultants, network planners and operators, taking into account challenging problems and contributing to the completion of specific design projects.
Your responsibilities
  • Simulations and computer analysis of electrical power networks on low, medium and high voltage levels;
  • Analysis of technical documentation for various grid standards;
  • Preparation of grid impact studies and insulation coordination analyses;
  • Create technical documentation;
  • Work directly with clients.
Your background
  • MA or PhD in the area of electrical power engineering or similar;
  • Understanding of electrical power networks in at least one of the following areas: high frequency transients, renewable power plants, faults, transmission/distribution systems, rotating machines, battery energy storage systems, power electronics;
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation of power substations and their equipment;
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken);
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills;
  • Demonstrable detail orientation and systematic troubleshooting skills;
  • Strong desire to learn new skills;
  • A positive and flexible attitude;
  • Although not a requirement, knowledge of any of the following will be an advantage: Skills in numerical simulations using at least one of the following software packages: PSCAD, DIgSILENT Power Factory, PSS/E, EMTP-ATP; Practical skills in Matlab/Simulink simulations of control algorithms (not limited to); Basics of programming language such as: Python, C/C++.
