Your responsibilities
Monitor the electronic components market to minimize the risk of component shortages
Maintain and pursue approved vendor and preferred electronics parts lists
Develop, maintain and pursue electrical component obsolescence strategies
Identify possible parts replacements based on the critical component characteristics
Develop, maintain and pursue electrical components related standard guidelines
Technical support for NPI development teams in selecting new parts for their application
Effective engage with all business groups to find common requirements and understand the unique technical needs
Identifies and validates components key technology offered by the supply chain to execute Woodward's long-term strategies and shorter-term projects
Adds critical input to engineering and supply chain strategies for securing components
Promotes a cross-functional project team environment, communicates with Engineering, Suppliers, Management
Work with Electronics Component Leader in setting technical direction/product/components strategies
Our requirements
Batchelor/Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar faculty preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in related field required, including post-graduate experience
Competent, solid and broad knowledge of electronic components and their critical characteristics
Good understanding of analog and digital electronics circuits would be a plus
Competent in the use of PCs and associated software
Competent in problem solving for both electrical components and subsystems
Ability to provide technical problem-solving guidance to others
Complete understanding of component functions and testing requirements. Understands manufacturing processes, drawings, geometric tolerances as well as shop standards
Ability to strategically prioritize based on business needs, demonstrated self-discipline and good organizational skills
Demonstrated knowledge of RoHS and REACH standards/regulations would be an advantage
Effective written and verbal communication skills (English and Polish languages fluency required)
