EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

This position plays a support role in driving employee communications for the company’s “Development” and “Delivery” organizations based in the Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) and Latin America (LATAM) regions. The “Development” and “Delivery” organizations encompass Marketing, Design and Innovation, R&D, Customer Development and Supply Chain.
The Employee Communications Manager contributes to overall and regional strategy, executes communications plans in Regions, contributes content to existing communications channels, measures and reports results and works with teammates in the global communications function to source and share content across all channels. This position has a high degree of interaction with senior management in the Regions and requires the candidate to be adaptable to a fast-paced, challenging environment while supporting multiple internal clients at the same time.
The Employee Communications Manager reports to the Director of Employee Communications – Development & Delivery.


Key responsibilities:

  • Create and execute strategy for Development & Delivery in the Regions that fits within the overall corporate communications strategy.
  • Manage execution of internal communication activities in the Regions, including researching, writing and editing content for internal communications vehicles, internal social media platforms, events such as Town Hall meetings, and relevant company announcements.
  • Help develop/maintain content for existing communication vehicles, and contribute ideas for new vehicles.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of communication plans for specific projects.
  • Maintain and ensure information is consistent and current across multiple vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all departments and all levels of management.
  • Gather feedback from employees to determine communication needs and effectiveness.
  • Monitor, track, and measure effectiveness of communications activities and ensure continuous improvement of content and channel effectiveness
  • Manage third-party communications vendors to deliver appropriate communications strategy and execution efficiently and cost-effectively


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; strong professional presence
  • 5-7 year experience working in an internal communications environment
  • Fluency in English is a must; fluency in other European languages is a plus
  • University degree, or higher, in Communications, Public Relations or English
  • Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to learn and retain information in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Good working knowledge of common and popular social media sites.
  • Experience in working with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure, work quickly, meet deadlines, multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities and challenges.
  • Experience in project or program management
