We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager to join us and fulfill our vision to deliver innovative financial products and features that provide new levels of accessibility and flexibility to our users. You will use your technical leadership to guide our team to identify and deliver improvements to the purchasing funnel for both our users and our merchant partners.

Your responsibilities
Lead a team passionate about the user purchasing experience, providing leadership for the team, while having a detailed understanding of our business, company goals, roadmap and resource plans
Drive planning and prioritization of projects based on product, technical, and business goals by leveraging relevant resources and data
Build relationships with people across engineering and other organizations to jointly make decisions vital to deliver to a high-quality, reliable, robust product and service
Coach and mentor employees to increase their impact through regular performance development and feedback conversations
Cultivate a respectful and supportive environment for all team members that effectively leverages the diversity of the team
Our requirements
6+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer with leadership responsibilities and 2+ year as an Engineering/People Manager
A growth mindset and a desire to learn, share, and grow
Experience interfacing with commercial and customer success stakeholders. Interfacing directly with customers is a plus
Passion for working with multi-functional teams including Product, Design, Analytics and Business teams
Expert at synthesizing sophisticated business, product, and technical requirements to consistently produce high quality system designs and software
Humble and authentic leadership which places the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible
Experience scaling systems in a service oriented architecture preferred but not required

We offer a competitive package, with some highlights listed below. Location - Remote Poland
The majority of our roles can be located anywhere in Poland.

The majority of our roles are remote and can be located anywhere in the U.S. and Canada (with the exception of the U.S. Territories, Quebec, Yukon, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories) unless the job indicates a different global location. We are currently building operations in Spain, Poland, and Australia. Employees in remote roles have the option of working remotely or from an Affirm office in their country of hire, and may occasionally travel to an Affirm office or elsewhere for required meetings or team-building events. Our offices in Chicago, New York, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Toronto will remain operational and accessible for anyone to use on a voluntary basis, subject to local COVID-19 guidelines.
