About the project
In the Merchant department we are responsible for setting up conditions for our Sellers to grow and develop their businesses in Poland and Internationally. We launched Allegro marketplace in Czech Republic in May’23 and we are going to continue our path of successful international expansions to other central and eastern European markets.We are looking for experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of several engineers. You will work on offer products and services. Along with the team you will care about all aspects of product development from ideation (with help of Product Managers), through development, ending with deployment and maintenance of working solutions. We constantly work to extend our solution capabilities and capacity in accordance with Allegro expansion. Currently the team is distributed across three cities (with most members residing in Poznań and Warsaw).
Your responsibilities
building the team of engineers to efficiently deliver business value through technical work,
developing team’s members by taking into account individual preferences and needs to achieve mastery and autonomy while fulfilling the purpose of employee and the organization
being a partner to Product Manager in the product development journey and project
reporting team initiatives progress and risks to the senior management chain
driving cross-team initiatives and collaboration to develop development and organizational processes
budgeting reporting (headcount allocation to business initiatives; integration, training, recognition budget usage and plan)

Are able to work closely with the business (can reconcile technical and business issues)
Can present the necessary technical work in the context of business risks
Expect work that has a deeper meaning (not only the "management has commissioned") and wants to enjoy its results, are looking for mastery
Want to be proud of the technical solutions their team creates. They eagerly share knowledge during code reviews
Enjoy constant developing and updating their knowledge necessary to stay on top in the constantly changing product environment
Know English languages on at least B2 level
