About the project
The Engineering Project Manager (EPM) is the overall technical leader and decision maker within the project responsible for the engineering planning, execution and delivery. He/she is the primary technical decision maker and is accountable to achieve the project schedule, quality and budget objectives for the engineering organization.
We are currently strengthening our team in project management area due to increasing portfolio of our projects and increased technical complexity. By joining the team, you will have unique opportunity to have influence on way of development current and future safety electronics systems for leading global car manufactures.
Your responsibilities
Management of safety electronics projects in respect of timing, costs, quality (from concept to SOP);
Planning, coordination, controlling and reporting status of development activities of project within ZF and to OEM;
Technical and disciplinary team leading, serve as main technical customer contact and project interface to internal departments (e.g. development, test, production);
Communications with third party suppliers of electronic components and with our customers (Automotive OEMs);
Support program manager on risk management related to engineering activities;
Working with OEM and ZF internal teams to capture and flow-down of customer requirements to component level;
Leading regular project reviews and ensure development of product is performed according to ZF internally defined and standard engineering quality processes;
Communication with global ZF teams located in other countries (e.g. Germany, United Kingdom, United States).
Our requirements
University degree in computer science, electronics engineering, robotics, or a similar qualification;
Experience in automotive industry in leading projects or product development teams;
Knowledge of quality standards like IATF 16949 or Automotive SPICE will be an advantage;
Basic technical know-how SW/HW development for embedded systems;
Self-motivated, able to work without supervision, high ability to find solutions and make decisions;
Very good communication skills and proficient in English language, knowledge of German will be an advantage.
