Undertake control testing activities across the East Europe region and support a continuous cycle of control monitoring, reporting and feedback.
Contribute to continued improvement and refinement of control design by assisting and challenging the risk and control owners.
Safeguard progress and quality of control execution by forming an independent view on the effectiveness of the controls and contribute to continued improvement and refinement of control design and operation.
Coordinate and provide expertise to risk and control owners in risk assessment activities in the region.
Adhere to and exemplify best practice with regard to documentation quality / system maintenance (for the RCF system).
Discuss control deficiencies with control owners and assist in deficiency remediation as well as in monitoring of the status of control remediation actions.
Monitor risk control activities in line with the agreed planning cycle (collect relevant information, analyse and report).
Monitor operational risk incidents and investigate potential process / control deficiencies with the aim of their enhancement.
Report on risks, incidents, findings management and control effectiveness to ERM Manager Region Europe East and provide support in the execution of risk awareness and risk assessment initiatives.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the RCF tool in use by supporting risk and control owners in the region in achieving desired level of data quality and obtaining KPIs/KRIs.
Degree-level educated (or equivalent experience in a professional role) in business, finance, economics or related field.
At least 5 years working experience in the enterprise risk, operational risk, finance, internal control or audit domain acquired in banking or consulting environment.
Based in one of the countries of the Region Europe East (Poland, Russia, Hungary) and fluent in one of the regional languages (Polish, Russian, Hungarian) and English.
Interest and experience with risk control framework (e.g. professional practice, internal audit, 2nd line control function, 1st line control execution)
Empathic and good at building relationships.
Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organisation.
Self-starter, able to proactively organize and plan activities.
ACCA / ACA / CIA / PRM / FRM / CFA (or similar), ACAMS considered an advantage (including part qualified)

As an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Officer, you will undertake a key role in the enhancement of the execution of the risk and control activities in the Region Europe East. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and the execution of the East Europe Region’s Risk Control Framework (RCF). You will contribute to development and maintenance of a sound risk culture with the aim to safeguard regional risk appetite and guarantee high quality, effective and efficient control framework. You will analyze and monitor operational risk incidents in the region and propose process enhancements with respect to risk and control framework. You will be working with colleagues across the region as well as head office.
