About the project

Global Standards (GS) is the group’s program focused on developing the highest standards for Financial Crime Compliance and deploying them globally on a consistent basis.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide daily application Support for ROS/RTS applications working closely with HSBC business teams located in MENA,APAC, EURO and US to manage and coordinate the delivery of technical updates for applications.
  • Monitor service availability of all ROS/RTS applications, undertake relevant incident management as well as work towards continual improvement to existing services
  • Essential to manage the change orders as per region rotation basis.
  • Work with external parties, within and outside of HSBC, for support services including 3rd party vendors etc.
  • Manage Incident properly, escalate properly to different support party. Report on service availability, record and log incidents in a timely manner, as well as to communicate to IT and user community. Own applications’ incident till it is resolved.

Our requirements

  • Proficiency in verbal and written English, Good interpersonal and communication skills, be capable of dealing with global stakeholders across multiple functions (IT, Business) and third parties independently.
  • Essential business sense, could find logical solutions to manage incident to resolution. Able to response to production incidents, with good sense of judgment between escalation and further investigation.
  • Professional experience in areas of Linux, Java Application, SQL, Splunk technologies and AppDynamics tool or similar one.
  • Knowledge required of Oracle DB, Cloud solutions, Mango DB, IBM WebSphere application server
  • Knowledge of any ticket tool like Jira Service desk
  • Innovation thinking, self-motivation.
  • Good working attitude, could proactively manage issues to a successful conclusion, following up as necessary.

Role Purpose:

Third Party Management (TPM) is the process of identification, assessment, remediation and ongoing management of the risk HSBC is exposed to when buying goods or services from a third party. This is an essential part of our business because it:

• Ensures we comply to our regulatory obligations

• Protects HSBC’s brand, values and reputation

• Enables us to meet our business needs and support critical business services

• Reduces the risk of doing business with third parties

• Supports our policies and provides a consistent approach across the bank

We are building a Delivery Hub within Global Operations, to service HSBC and ensure that all activities required to fulfil our TPM obligations are completed in a standardised, accurate, timely and compliant manner.
