Your responsibilities

  • Monitoring Exits performance to ensure each country/sector is aligned to the agreed KPIs, partnering with the regional Client Services ETB teams to ensure early intervention and corrective action to achieve targets and ensure timely and consistent execution of Exits

  • Assisting the design and execution plan for any service expansion to be rolled out in a controlled and consistent manner to facilitate off-boarding

  • Actively participating in relevant change initiatives, compliance and operational risk related forums / committees as required

  • Coordinate with Client Exits Team and product teams as required to mitigate and identify barriers to exit, managing long dated trades where contractual obligations exist

  • Ensure that senior management are appropriately advised of any operational or Exits related concerns by providing informed insight and early intervention/escalation as required

  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Our requirements

  • Excellent understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviors, processes and objectives

  • Thorough understanding of the Group and the GB and CMB businesses, including products, propositions, services, systems, sales process, relationship management models, the financial services landscape and competitor developments

  • Highly developed understanding of end to end client lifecycle in Commercial and Global Banking; experience of existing to bank client lifecycle management with either a focus on Exits, Onboarding and/or CDD

  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector

  • Exposure to Middle Office technology such as Client Vision, CRT, NGT, Global Links and ClientSphere and other HSBC systems such as HUB, HORIS etc.

  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills with experience of management of complex global programs/business transformations, with knowledge on when and how to re-prioritize, or escalate as required

  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels

  • Strong MS Office skills primarily Excel & PowerPoint

  • Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and innovative solutions

Job Description

The Europe Exits Production Lead role focuses on the execution of client exits within Europe for all Existing to Bank (ETB) clients across the Europe Region on behalf of the GBM and CMB businesses under the new Wholesale structure.

Main responsibilities include oversight and providing support for the exits and product teams, ensuring successful delivery of Exits targets and partnering with the Regional Heads to integrate Exits reporting, governance, and systems under one single consistent operating model across the region.

Role Purpose

  • The overall objective of the Europe Exits Production lead is to facilitate and own the delivery of the Exits execution pipeline on behalf of the GBM and CMB businesses. The role will provide coordination and act as an escalation point for country Exits issues/requirements that require escalation or support across the region.

  • The creation of a Wholesale COO is a key part of HSBC’s transformation strategy. The Europe Exits Production lead will be responsible for supporting this transformation by leveraging technology and by bringing teams together across the region to support both Banking and CMB. A key part of the role will focus on integrating reporting, governance, and systems under one single consistent CDD production operating model within the Wholesale structure.

  • The role holder will be required to deliver robust operational management across all functions and countries, maximise operational performance and improve the client experience on behalf of the Exits teams within Wholesale COO. This will be done by closely monitoring performance, achievement against targets for all KPI metrics and by setting and maintaining best practice across the Exits team.

  • The role will report to the Europe Head of Existing to Bank within Wholesale Client Services (WCS). Wholesale Client Services comprises: New to Bank; Existing to Bank; Credit Analysis Unit; Service Management; Regulatory Business Support; Exits; Wholesale Client Services Centres.

  • The role holder will work closely with colleagues across product and Business Intelligence functions to drive full alignment between business intelligence data and performance management insights and activities, as well as engaging with product, CDS and Client Management and E2E KYC teams to ensure effective coordination with the Exit/Retain pipeline.
