    This is a senior specialist position in the global, dynamic Accounting Policy and Assurance team.

    In this role you will:

    • Actively support to keep the bank abreast of external financial / regulatory change
    • Resolve in a timely manner accounting queries from various stakeholders within the bank or support other team members in the accounting analysis
    • Timely deliver accounting analysis and solutions for accounting matters related to individual transactions, new business initiatives, financial reporting and consolidation.
    • Ensure correct and consistent application of accounting policies across the bank and its subsidiaries for consolidated or stand-alone accounting.
    • Represent the Accounting Policy and Assurance in cross-functional/regional working groups and projects.
    • Actively monitor international and local accounting standard developments with active participation in the standard setting process.
    • Support the internal policy development process and drive the implementations of new policies or policy changes by monitoring, communicating and solving issues arising during the implementation


    • You have 5+ years of work experience in similar position in financial industry or 5+ years of work experience as a certified accountant within the banking industry with strong background in accounting policies and accounting standards
    • You are proficient user of English – proficiency in German would make a great plus
    • You present sound understanding of banking products within the wealth management, asset management and investment banking business as well as group internal transactions (e.g. derivatives, securitization, Special Purpose Entities (SPE), transfer of financial assets, structured transactions)
    • You have solid knowledge of US GAAP or you have solid knowledge of IFRS along with willingness to adapt quickly to US GAAP
    • You present outstanding analytical and communication skills with ability to conclude and present your findings in an accurate and efficient manner – also to the senior management
    • You have keen eye to detail and ability to spot interdependencies, risks and conflicts during the issue resolution process
    • Preferably you have experience in project management
    • You hold a university degree in Business Administration / Accounting / Finance and/or an equivalent business qualification (ACCA, CFA, CIMA, ACA, CMA, CPA, etc.)
