    Your key responsibilities

    As a Cyber Security Junior Consultant (DPP/GDPR), you’ll contribute technically to Cyber Security client projects and internal projects. An important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. Similarly, you’ll anticipate and identify risks within projects and share any issues with senior members of the team. In line with EY’s commitment to quality, you’ll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer. As an influential member of the team, you’ll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
    • You will design and implement data protection and privacy programs at our clients supporting their business.
    • You will conduct Privacy Impact Assessments, analyse and document assessments, work out questionnaires and standard documentation.
    • You will support the standardization of Risk and IT Control catalogues for regulatory compliance.
    • You will deploy processes and tools to help detect and prevent privacy breaches.
    • You will deploy Data leak prevention tools and implementation of endpoint protection.
    • You will support and guide our clients in adhering to the complex web of relevant national and international regulations (e.g. EU General Data Protection Regulation).
    • You will ensure a harmonized approach towards data protection and privacy by bringing together our client’s stakeholders (e.g. legal, compliance, risk, HR, security, business functions…).
    • You will assist clients in privacy related incident response activities.
    • You will support the client’s team by acting as an interim team member (e.g. security officer, security manager, security analyst).
    Skills and attributes for success
    • Master or Bachelor degree in Electronics/Computer Science or a similar major
    • Up to two years of sound industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Data Protection and Privacy, privacy governance, assessment, remediation, policies, procedures, and classification, data retention concepts, access control for leading ERP/CRM systems, self-developed tools, data bases and data warehouses
    • Very good command of English and preferably advanced command of German
    • Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences
    • Willingness, ability and flexibility to travel

    An ideal candidate would have relevant Data Protection and Privacy certifications, e.g. CIPP/CIPM or European Privacy Seal (EuroPriSe). As an ideal candidate, you shall have a personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations. You should be also flexible enough to adapt to a variety of project types, working hours and work environments and locations.
