To perform specific Financial Accounting and Reporting activities compliant with IFRS, regulatory and statutory requirements. The incumbent in this position will prepare financial statements and may also provide support for consolidation. The role gives opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects and that is why we are looking for a proactive, flexible person with a “can do” approach. As a dedicated Senior Specialist in the role, you will stand as a support and advisor to your colleagues, superior and to the client.
Calculate and perform general ledger bookings and account reconciliation (e.g. calculate deferred income tax, accruals, provisions, pre-payments)
Provide Group and external reporting (BS, P&L, Supplementary information to financial statement – according to IFRS and other GAAP if needed (e.g. Swiss GAAP, Irish GAAP, Solvency II)
Perform Intercompany reconciliation and postings
Perform various closing activities e.g. maintain interfaces to Sub ledger as an option, posting Statutory Adjusting Entries, performing Statutory Analysis and filings
Support/collaborate in various projects such as the analysis and implementation of Group Chart of Accounts changes and implementation of IFRS17 standard
Maintain contact with various stakeholders e.g. FAR Controllers, Actuaries, Local Accountants,
Understand ICFR RFC framework, execute controls and advise on those to the less experienced Team Members
End-to-end GL and financial reporting knowledge
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting industry
Finance and Accounting, Economy or equivalent academic degree
SAP and Excel knowledge
IFRS or other GAAPs knowledge as an asset
Problem solving skills and independent, efficient working methods
English skills – spoken and written at fluent level
This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer, which will require occasionally adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule
