At the McKinsey EMEA Shared Service Center in Poznan we remotely support colleagues from other parts of Europe, the Middle East and Africa in areas such as Finance and Reporting, Human Resources, Visual Communication, Business Operations, and Assistant Services.

Tasks:

  • Project Management - provide Subject Matter Expert input to projects and alignment with long term strategy
  • Deep understanding of stakeholders and business requirements:
    • Understand of business objectives needed to provide desired solution
    • Understand complex issues and identify opportunities and risks
    • Ensure compliance with established policies
    • Ensure consistency of functional and business requirements
    • Provide input into the requirements
    • Analyzing business cases incl. stakeholders’ risk and returns
    • Ensure that requirements are correctly understood and used by development team
  • Solutions:
    • Recommend alternative solutions and identify deficiencies when necessary
    • Support the consistency with global processes and application use
    • Delivering enhancements to the finance operations and reporting
    • Continuously work to improve existing ways of working
    • Build tools, reports, dataflow diagrams, flowcharts as required
    • Propose changes that make the software product more efficient and/or reduce operation or maintenance cost
    • Create technical specifications & work instructions
    • Perform prototyping
    • Lead testing preparation
  • Communication:
    • Organizing and leading stakeholders meetings to collect requirements and feedback
    • Organizing and leading User Demo and Test meetings - Initiate communication channels for end users to ensure that everyone working with the solution understands for whom the solution is created and their needs
    • Provide training
  • Support Global & Regional Finance Leadership
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needs arise

Profile:

  • University degree, preferably in finance/accounting or business administration
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English (minimum C1)
  • Have experience in a similar role and environment (Business/Project Analyst)
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office programs - Excel, Access & PowerPoint
  • Have confidence in communicating with various levels of authority throughout the business
  • Excellent communication skills to tailor messages over the phone and via email
  • Excellent skills in solving problems, making decisions, and resolving conflicts
  • Good understanding of contractual and commercial aspects as well as process and internal control systems
  • Distinct quality mindset and attention to detail and timeliness in delivering on commitments
  • Strong process focus and drive for results
  • Ability to work and stay focused under pressure, manage urgent tasks against aggressive timelines
