Your responsibilities

If you’d like to learn more about Shell Oil and Gas business and prefer to work in a friendly multicultural environment, then role of Finance Analyst for Shell Italy is exactly what you’re looking for.

You’ll be a member of Reporting & Analysis team (6 people) and will report to Italy Senior Team Manager.

Role is accountable for statistical reporting to Italian governmental authorities and preparation of financial statements under IFRS and local Italian GAAP with the focus on operational excellence, business partnering and continuous improvements. You’ll need to build a deep knowledge of the outputs required and ways of working to deliver these, along with the tools and systems that are an integral enabler of the process. Work collaboratively with colleagues in Finance Operation and business, where operational excellence or data integrity impacts on the R&A delivery.

- Report to Italian authorities and regulatory bodies;

- Accountable for preparation of Financial statements with the notes, under IFRS and Italian GAAP;

- Supporting audit of Group and Statutory accounts, promptly resolving audit findings and requests, being a Focal point for external auditors;

- Month closing activities (fixed asset accounting, accruals, recharges and timewriting);

- Preparing data for Transfer pricing submission;

- Cross-functional cooperation with the business, partners and FO teams to ensure high quality financial statements and disclosures;

- Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations;

- Execute controls, ensure operational effectiveness of the controls within the area of responsibility;

- Propose process improvements within own area of responsibility;

- Comply with team, Shell Business Operations, process and global policies and procedures.

Our requirements

  • Strong background in accounting and reporting, an accounting degree is preferred (ACCA,CIMA or equivalent),
  • Above 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting area,
  • English B2, Italian B2 is a must,
  • Ability to translate contracts into accounting notes / notes for file,
  • Ability to quickly familiarize to new business,
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving , presentation and communication skills.
