Your responsibilities
Support the budgeting and long-range financial planning process ensuring an accurate, complete and timely plan is created on an annual basis.
Partner with business leaders and financial directors to ensure a clear understanding of the budgeting processes and tools used including management and facilitation of the monthly forecast process.
Communicate business unit financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
Support the quarterly forecast process as well as the resulting business reviews.
Complete analysis of actual results to provide meaningful insight into the company’s financial performance including in-depth explanations on deviations from plan and forecast.
Develop and interpret detailed and complex financial models to provide international leadership with the information needed to make strategic decisions.
Take ownership of the Company’s financial systems to ensure Finance is using technological tools efficiently and effectively.
Coordinate working capital improvement initiatives.
Leverage current systems and business knowledge to continuously improve business practices, internal financial processes, and other efficiencies while serving critical business needs.
Perform and support ad-hoc financial analysis projects.
Build business case for strategic initiatives.
Prepare and deliver presentations to varied audiences and effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
Our requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related discipline.
2 years of financial analysis experience in a multinational corporate environment, or public accounting experience serving public multi-national clients
Understanding of financial statements and basic accounting rules with strong analytical abilities and strategic thinking skills
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint and experience preparing presentations
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Proven ability to interact and thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Solid expertise of business processes, information technology, and their effect on financial statements.
Proven experience analyzing moderate to complex financial information, historical financial results, and market data (including emerging trends) to develop recommendations.
Demonstrated business orientation, excellent analytical capabilities, and strategic decision-making skills.
Demonstrated problem solving abilities with proven track record of generating high quality innovative solutions.
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time internationally.
Willingness to work flexible hours (if/when needed) to coordinate various stakeholders across different time zones
Optional
Familiar with a variety of data systems to create financial reports and analyze business trends – knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse is a distinct advantage

Overview
Reporting to the Manager of International Financial Planning and Analysis the analyst will support International leadership, business performance management, and planning/forecasting cycles for the International segment of MSA (Europe, Middle East, China, Asia, Australia). This position will support all areas of planning, including revenue, expense, capex, and help plan and implement strategic initiatives. This position will be actively involved in interpreting and analyzing actual performance of the business and providing critical performance metrics and analysis to International leadership (President, CFO, VP, Business Leaders). The successful candidate must have a strong desire to build skills and knowledge across various areas of finance including FP&A, Corporate Development and Strategic Planning.
