Your responsibilities
- The Finance Manager will be responsible for partnering with the VPGM of the business as well as supporting the Plant Manager in Kotlarnia, Poland. The person will be involved in all aspects of strategic decision making, improving product profitability, preparing the annual budget, estimates and forecasts as well as reporting the financial results. The role will be located in Kotlarnia/ Katowice, Poland and will report to the Praesidiad Group CFO located in London, UK.
- Partner with the VPGM and provide strategic direction to the business for the execution of the growth strategy.
- Support the local Plant manager to track and improve Customer and SKU profitability, whilst focusing on product mix, timing of projects and ensuring robust cost management.
- Support the Sales and the Estimating team in bid reviews, providing cost, cash flow analysis and providing input to negotiate the commercial terms and conditions.
- Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for the business.
- Analyse variances (Material/Labour/Overheads) and communicate explanations to management with recommended actions to improve profitability.
- Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the business and present the financials to the Global Leadership Team.
- Production of weekly and monthly management information and group reporting ensuring financial integrity, accuracy and timeliness of submission.
- Run year end Standard costing activities to ensure correct standards are in the system, including calculating Labour and Overhead rates.
- Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
- Managing inventory build to adequately manage working capital.
- Liaise with the Finance Centre of Excellence in Katowice to manage Accounts receivable and Accounts payable to maximise cash flow.
- Ensure robust process and controls around project accounting and ensuring that revenue recognition is in line with Corporate Accounting Policies.
- Ensure proper accounting in accordance with Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements.
- Liaising with the Company Auditors to ensure all queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Liaise with Internal Treasury to ensure banking arrangements, bank guarantees, Letter of credits are in place to conduct business.
Our requirements
- At least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Finance leadership experience ideally within an international, matrix organization.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS or an ERP.
- Cost accounting experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics financial software - experience with OneStream system is a bonus.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries from the business.
- Ability to effectively communicate with management, public groups, peers and staff.
- Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behaviour throughout the organization.
- Demonstrate appreciation of and sensitivity toward cultural and personal differences
- Must be a team player and act cooperatively with the business.
- Demonstrate strong and pragmatic business acumen.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
