Your responsibilities
- Drive together with manager the production and quality of financial reports, across regions and entities of responsibility to meet set timelines.
- Ensure together with manager that all periodic (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annual) reporting for the team meets set deadlines.
- Implement changes in financial processes and compiling reports, driving efficiencies and cost savings across regions and entities.
- Together with the manager supervise, train and develop a mid-size team of employees.
Our requirements
- Qualified accountant or relevant university degree
- Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be an asset
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles (IFRS), financial accounting and control
- In-depth knowledge of the banks HSBC systems / structures
- Knowledge of central bank regulations
- Excellent English both written and verbal (additional European language will be a plus)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills as the team will need to liaise effectively with other teams in other countries
- At least 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting, Audit or Control with excellent analytical skills
- Confidence to communicate and build strong relationships with Finance staff at all levels of the Group
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel, VBA will be a plus)
- Strong analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
