Financial Accounting and Reporting Expert
Location: Kraków

Key Accountabilities:

  • Review of work prepared by junior staff
  • Overview Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Lead consolidation activities
  • Review GL posting and supporting calculation
  • Prepare complex reports and reconciliations
  • Support ad-hoc activities and in-country team enquiries
  • Provide expertise to in-country and GFC teams
  • Developing strong working relationships with other finance teams and business area representatives
  • Being point of contact for the team
  • Acting as manager’s back-up
  • Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirements and assessing the adequacy in the changing environment
  • Continually work on improving the level of automation by working closely within and across teams to identify solutions to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting and minimize manual intervention
  • Continually asses the operational risk inherent in the process, taking account of changing operational procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years relevant accounting/reporting experience
  • Banking/Insurance/Financial Services industry experience will be an asset
  • Project management experience will be an asset
  • University degree in finance related discipline
  • Very good knowledge of IFRS and IAS
  • Knowledge of Banking regulations will be a plus
  • Understanding of GL systems and reporting software
  • Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (VBA will be plus)
  • Fluency in English and German Language
  • Strong Analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with people at all levels
  • Good planning and organizational skills, with ability to adapt to changing environment
