Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management and HSBC Group
- Review external and regulatory reports prepared by junior staff
- Overview balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead consolidation activities
- Prepare complex financial and business reports and analysis
- Participate in projects implementing new standards or regulations
- Build and maintain good working relationships with other finance teams and business area representatives across a wide range of areas throughout the organisation
- Review current activities and standardize processes to improve efficiencies
- Complying with internal procedures and rules of control
Our requirements
- Minimum 5 years relevant accounting/reporting experience
- Banking/Insurance/Financial Services industry experience will be an asset
- Project management experience will be an asset
- University degree in finance related discipline
- Very good knowledge of IFRS and IAS
- Knowledge of Banking regulations will be a plus
- Understanding of GL systems and reporting software
- Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be a plus
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (VBA will be plus)
- Fluency in English language
- Strong analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to work with people at all levels
- Good planning and organizational skills, with ability to adapt to changing environment
