    Financial Control Expenditure Senior Analyst (French Speaker)
    Location: Kraków

    The role is based in the Global Finance Centre of Excellence in Krakow, Poland. The centre is supporting the development of the businesses across the European region. The centre covers all finance functions including Reporting (management and financial), Accounting, Product Control and Financial Systems. The Centre of Excellence will focus on system standardization and process transformation to deliver the highest quality analysis and insight to all the countries it supports.

    Financial Control Expenditure Team is responsible for analyzing of non-standard invoices, calculating and posting accruals and provisions, ensuring a strong justification and certification process.

    FCE Team will provide support to Management Information & Planning teams on budget monitoring and reporting. This team will be also in charge of VAT and tax analysis, recharges analysis and Business Partnering with Financial Controller.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Analyse and validate non-standard HSBC France invoices,
    • Monitor HSBC France Recharge process, providing accurate information to MIP Team,
    • Monitor and control HSBC France Cost budgets and utilisation,
    • Complete and control the period end close process for HSBC France for Accruals, Provisions, VAT and Tax analysis (Including Accruals and Provision Calculation),
    • Prepare General Ledger Account Substantiation for the purpose of Monthly Balance Certification process align with Sox and Internal audit requirements,
    • Work closely with other Teams in France, actively supporting Business and Finance Team providing answer the queries from the MIP team, procurement team and the businesses. Preparation of various ad-hoc dashboards,
    • Assist with implementation of new systems / processes.


    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounting department, preferably in Shared Services Centre,
    • Computer literacy (MS Office), particularly Excel,
    • Very good French and English language skills, verbal & written,
    • Attention to details and problem solving skills,
    • Ability to learn new systems and processes,
    • Passion for providing a high quality service to customers and demonstrate the ability to work with people at all levels,
    • Being capable of looking the figures/explanations from a distance to provide good analysis supporting Management Information and Planning Department,
    • Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
