Your responsibilities

  • You will engage in the preparation of reliable and adequate financial and operational reports. You will be encouraged to give solicited and unsolicited advice on financial issues and be expected to be determined to make the financial control of the month-end closing a success.

  • You will be involved in projects from a financial point of view and assist with financial issues and preparing the annual accounts. You will also maintain good internal and external contacts.

  • Use and maintain a comprehensive project accounting system and other financial systems.

  • Provide monthly reporting, budgets, forecasts, and other relevant information to the CIC International Controller and other stakeholders.

  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and the strategic long-term plan.

  • Drive timely close and financial reporting processes on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure that the company is in compliance with tax and other regulations.

  • Oversee the preparation of required tax and other compliance related filings, such as VAT tax, corporate income tax, withholding tax, capital tax, transfer pricing documentation.

  • Prepare and oversee completion of drafting the statutory financial statements and submission of such to the relevant authorities.

  • Coordinate and support annual US GAAP audits and any other audits as required.

  • Plan and manage the financial staff which will include mentoring and developing staff, help them to set their priorities and expectations, provide guidance and supervision to ensure all finance matters are properly handled. Be the owner of planning. monitoring and appraising the performance of the finance team.

  • Be an agent of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing improvements that improve efficiencies and mitigate risks across the business including process improvements in risk management, financial reporting, forecasting processes and analytics.

  • Be responsible for controlling fixed assets.

  • Identify and help drive opportunities that improve internal control, process, and efficiency that help to increase regulatory compliances.

  • Be a business partner to the General Manager and other team leads.

  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including bankers, auditors, advisors, and statutory organizations such as the tax office.

  • Be responsible for the local implementation of NetSuite

  • Support ad hoc analysis and projects as required.

You have:

• Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting, Finance or Accounting (ACCA or CIMA is an asset).

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, controlling or financial management.

• General Ledger (GL) experience, NetSuite experience is a plus.

• US GAAP and Polish GAAP knowledge preferred.

• Strong working knowledge of financial and forecasting systems. NetSuite knowledge is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, large/small groups and one-on-one. Strong written and spoken English skills at C1-C2 level with elements of Financial English.

• Fluency in Polish is a must.

• Excellent financial modeling skills and advanced Excel proficiency with a demonstrated ability to effectively analyze large, multi-company data sets.

• A proven track record in a fast paced, international multi-company, multi-currency environment with a high volume of intercompany transactions.

• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills.
