Your responsibilities

  • Work in GTRF European Regional Operational HUB supporting HSBC Trade, Guarantee clients and transactions

  • Lead, manage and motivate the team of Hub resource (GTRF SMEs)

  • Ensure that the team members are managing day to day transactional requirements of the customers in an efficient manner and in line with the agreed framework & SLA’s

  • Work with the GTRF HUB Senior Management team to ensure maximum efficiency and coordinate various deliverables across the Hub

  • Manage Team resource performance, conducting regular 1-2-1’s and performance appraisals

  • Understand performance across the team and track against agreed service levels

  • Ensure that the Team resource is skilled to meet demand

  • work closely with the GTRF HUB change team to support RPA implementations/process changes initiatives

  • Identify and support development opportunities for team resource

  • Escalate any issues in a timely manner to the manager

Our requirements

  • The ability to demonstrate people management / leadership skills during times of significant change / creation of a new ‘function’ or initiatives

  • Good understanding and experience of the GTRF products and transactions would un significant asset

  • Demonstrable examples of team work and collaboration with internal and external customers

  • Attention to detail and proactive awareness of internal and external policies

  • Have excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills with peers, subordinates

  • Additional language skill will be an asset (German, Spanish, Dutch, French, Czech, Italian, Maltese)

Purpose of the role

GTRF is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.

Today, HSBC is the leading international trade bank and GTRF sits as part of Commercial Banking. We support customers’ right through the trade cycle, from raw materials – to manufacturing and shipment - to discounting and collecting invoices. We do this by working with Commercial Banking and Global Banking relationship managers, providing solutions appropriate for the customers' need.

The jobholder will work on a daily basis in GTRF European Regional HUB, being a part Europe GTRF CMB team and will cooperate with other onshore teams and clients across Continental Europe.

Job holder role is to manage GTRF team resources (8 – 12 FTEs), will focus on the people management and development responsibilities within the team, in particular to ensure that there are the correct skills in place to meet demand, to identify development or learning opportunities for resource and manage the performance of team resource.
